Job Description

UPSSSC has released the UP Lekhpal 2025 Notification for recruitment to a total of 7,994 Rajasva Lekhpal posts. This state government administrative exam is conducted to fill positions in the Revenue Department of Uttar Pradesh. Applications are being accepted online from 29th December 2025 to 28th January 2026. Qualified candidates from UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 are eligible for the mains selection process.

Cutoff Marks

Previous year cut off marks given for rough idea: General 62.96; OBC 62.96; SC 61.80; ST 44.74 (actual 2025 cutoffs to be released after exam).

Application Fee

General/OBC: Rs. 25; SC/ST/PH: Exempted (fee paid online via debit/credit/net banking or SBI e-challan).

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board. Only candidates with a valid UPSSSC PET 2025 scorecard can apply for the UPSSSC Lekhpal Mains exam.

Age Limit

Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 40 years as on eligibility cut-off date. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules (SC/ST 5 years; OBC 3 years; PH 5 years).

Selection Process

Selection is based on qualifying the UPSSSC PET 2025 followed by the UPSSSC Lekhpal Mains written exam as per the official notification.

Exam Pattern

The written exam consists of one paper with 100 objective questions for a total of 100 marks, with negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. Subjects include History, Indian Constitution, Geography, Economy, Rural Development, Current Events, Science and Technology, Ecology, Data Interpretation, General Hindi, Computer Knowledge and UP General Information.
