The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is a statutory body that provides social security and health insurance to Indian workers. ESIC conducts recruitment exams for various posts like Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and Stenographer. A career in ESIC offers a chance to contribute to a vital social welfare organization while enjoying the benefits of a secure government job.

Salary, Benefits, and Growth in ESIC

Working with ESIC comes with a host of benefits and a clear career trajectory.

Attractive Salary: An ESIC UDC is placed in Pay Level-4 of the 7th Pay Commission (₹25,500 - ₹81,100). The gross salary, including allowances, provides a comfortable living.

Comprehensive Benefits: Employees receive medical benefits for themselves and their dependents, gratuity, pension under the NPS, and other allowances. The work-life balance is generally considered good.

Career Progression: ESIC has a well-defined promotional hierarchy. A UDC can be promoted to Assistant and then to Social Security Officer (SSO) based on seniority and departmental exams, offering significant career advancement.
