Bank of India has released the official notification for the recruitment of Credit Officers under the General Banking Officer (GBO) stream, inviting eligible candidates for 514 vacancies across multiple scales (MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV). Online applications opened on 20th December 2025 at the Bank of India official website and will close on 5th January 2026. Selection includes an online exam and/or interview. ₹850 for General/OBC/EWS; ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD (intimation charges only).
Candidates must hold a recognised Graduation degree. Professional qualifications such as CA/CFA/CMA-ICWA or MBA/PGDBM in Banking/Finance or related fields preferred depending on scale. Relevant experience in credit and banking is required for each level.
Age limits vary by scale: MMGS-II – 25 to 35 years; MMGS-III – 28 to 38 years; SMGS-IV – 30 to 40 years. Age relaxation as per Government rules.
Selection is based on an online examination and/or personal interview depending on the number of applicants and eligibility screening. Specific criteria are detailed in the official notification.
The online exam pattern is bilingual (English & Hindi). Tests include sections like English Language (qualifying), Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Professional Knowledge; total 150 questions and 150 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. Negative marking applies.
