Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a prominent Maharatna public sector enterprise, has announced a recruitment drive for the Bokaro Steel Plant. The organization is seeking to engage 20 skilled Young Professionals on a fixed-term contract basis to address specialized technical and operational requirements. This initiative aims to leverage expert knowledge across various engineering, management, and finance domains to enhance plant efficiency and project execution.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a Maharatna company, providing significant exposure to large-scale industrial operations and complex project management. Selected professionals will receive competitive monthly retainership fees and access to company medical facilities, fostering both professional growth and financial stability.
| Level | Vacancies |
| Young Professional-1 | 10 |
| Young Professional-2 | 07 |
| Young Professional-3 | 03 |
The selection process begins with a thorough scrutiny of applications to ensure all candidates meet the specified eligibility criteria. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds five times the vacancy count, a Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted to shortlist candidates. The CBT will focus on aptitude and management skills, requiring a minimum 50 percentile score to qualify.
Shortlisted candidates will proceed to a personal interview, which may be conducted in physical or virtual mode. This stage evaluates the candidate's professional achievements, project experience, and technical expertise. The final merit list is determined by a weighted score of 80% from the CBT and 20% from the interview. In cases where no CBT is held, the interview score alone determines the final selection.
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) invites applications for 48 Young Professional posts on a fixed-term contractual basis at Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), IISCO Steel Plant (ISP), and Alloy Steels Plant (ASP).
