AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

Flying Branch: Graduation (3 years) with minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or BE/B.Tech (4 years) with 60% marks. Ground Duty (Technical): BE/B.Tech with 60% marks and specific subject combinations. Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation with 60% marks; specific requirements apply for Accounts and Meteorology roles.

For the Flying Branch, the age limit is 20 to 24 years. For Ground Duty branches, the age limit is 20 to 26 years as of the specified crucial date in the notification.

1. AFCAT Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
2. Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) for Technical candidates.
3. Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Testing (Stage I and Stage II).
4. Medical Examination at designated Air Force Centres.
5. All India Merit List preparation based on written and AFSB scores.

• Upper age limit relaxation is not applicable for AFCAT as per standard IAF policy for commissioned officers.
• Candidates must strictly adhere to the age criteria defined for each branch.
