Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Specific posts like Assistant Conservator of Forest require degrees in Science/Engineering/Agriculture/Forestry.
The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 40 years as of July 1st of the recruitment year.

- Main Examination (Descriptive)
- Personal Interview (Viva-Voce)
- SC/ST/OBC/State Govt Employees: 5 years
- Skilled Players of UP: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus service duration
- PWD: 15 years
