State Examination Board of Gujarat (SEBG) is all set to conduct the Gujarat Teacher Aptitude Test for Higher Secondary classes. The Gujarat TAT Exam aims to determine the candidate’s eligibility for the post of higher secondary teacher in the Gujarat government school.

The Gujarat TAT Exam is state level exam that is conducted in offline mode. The exam will be conducted in two stages first stage is prelims, and the second is mains. Those candidates who qualify for both exams are considered eligible.

Exam Pattern

Before starting the preparation for the Gujarat TAT, candidates should have a better understanding of the exam pattern, which will help the candidates to easily access the exam format and marking scheme. The Gujarat TET written exam will be conducted in two phases: prelims and mains.

Gujarat TAT Prelims Exam Pattern 2026

Gujarat TAT Prelims Exam will consist of 2 papers. Paper 1 consists of the questions from the general section, and Paper 2 consists of the questions from the subject-oriented topics.

  • The objective types of questions asked in the Prelims exam.
  • Each paper of the prelims consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • Total duration of the prelims exam is 3 hours.
  • There is one-fourth negative marking in this exam.
