OPTCL JMOT (Junior Management Trainee) Eligibility Criteria
Updated 2026To qualify for the Junior Maintenance & Operator Trainee post, candidates must satisfy the following educational requirements: Candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Furthermore, they must possess an NCVT ITI Certificate in the Electrician Trade. Regarding the percentage of marks, General and SEBC applicants must have secured at least 60% in their ITI qualification, while candidates belonging to the ST/PWD/SC categories are required to have a minimum of 50% marks in their ITI certificate. Only those candidates who meet these specific academic standards will be considered for the selection process. It is mandatory for candidates to be Indian nationals as well.

- Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT): This is the initial assessment, testing the candidates' technical and general aptitude through a standardized written test.
- Stage II: Skill Test: Candidates who successfully clear the CBT are invited for a skill test, conducted to evaluate their hands-on ability and practical knowledge relevant to the maintenance and operations role.
- Stage III: Career Marking: This final stage involves comprehensive document verification, where the candidate's academic qualifications and other credentials are thoroughly checked to confirm eligibility before the final merit list is prepared.
- SC/ST/SEBC Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
- Women Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
- PwD Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
