Candidates who qualify in Tier I are invited to the second stage, which is a practical assessment. This stage is worth 50 marks and consists of two primary components: a driving test and a motor mechanism test. Candidates are evaluated on their ability to handle a motor vehicle, their compliance with driving rules, and their technical aptitude for identifying and rectifying common vehicle defects. This stage is qualifying in nature, meaning candidates must secure a minimum threshold of marks to be considered for the final merit list.
