Assam Rifles General Exam Eligibility Criteria

Educational requirements vary by trade:
- Rifleman GD: Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Clerk: Intermediate (10+2) with English typing speed of 35 wpm.
- Technical Posts: ITI certificate or Diploma in relevant trade/field.
The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years, calculated as of the crucial date specified in the official notification.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Written Examination.
- Trade Test (Skill Test).
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- Document Verification.
- Final Merit List preparation.
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.
- Departmental Candidates: Up to 40 years for UR.
