WBCS Exam Interview Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Bengali is mandatory, except for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.
The age limit for the WBCS examination is 21 to 36 years for Group A, C, and D posts, and 20 to 36 years for Group B posts as of the 1st of January of the recruitment year.
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Conventional Type - Written)
- Personality Test (Interview)
- Final Merit List based on Mains and Interview scores
- SC/ST of West Bengal: 5 years
- OBC-A and OBC-B of West Bengal: 3 years
- PwBD: Up to 45 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules
