UPPCS Mains Essay Cut Off Marks
Updated 2026The following data represents the official cut-off marks for the Essay paper within the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (UPPCS) Mains examination, as published by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Please note that the UPPCS Mains examination is a cumulative scoring process where the Essay paper is one of the compulsory subjects; individual subject-wise cut-offs are not released by the Commission, as candidates are evaluated based on the aggregate marks of the written examination.
UPPCS Mains Examination Structure Note
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission does not publish separate "cut-off marks" for the Essay paper. The Essay paper is a compulsory component of the UPPCS Mains written examination, which is evaluated out of 150 marks. The final selection is determined by the aggregate marks obtained in the written examination (General Hindi, Essay, and General Studies papers I-VI) and the Personality Test (Interview).

Official Clarification on Cut-off Data
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) publishes the final cut-off marks for the UPPCS examination based on the total aggregate marks of the Mains written examination and the Interview. The Commission does not declare or publish minimum qualifying marks or cut-off marks for individual papers, including the Essay paper, within the Mains examination cycle.
