The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) was established under the PNGRB Act, 2006, to regulate the refining, processing, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing, and sale of petroleum, petroleum products, and natural gas in India. Headquartered in New Delhi, the board aims to protect the interests of consumers and entities engaged in specified activities while ensuring competitive markets and promoting sustainable energy infrastructure development across the country.
पेट्रोलियम एंड नेचुरल गैस रेगुलेटरी बोर्ड (PNGRB) की स्थापना PNGRB अधिनियम, 2006 के तहत भारत में पेट्रोलियम, पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों और प्राकृतिक गैस के शोधन, प्रसंस्करण, भंडारण, परिवहन, वितरण, विपणन और बिक्री को विनियमित करने के लिए की गई थी। नई दिल्ली में स्थित, बोर्ड का उद्देश्य उपभोक्ताओं और निर्दिष्ट गतिविधियों में लगे संस्थाओं के हितों की रक्षा करना है, साथ ही प्रतिस्पर्धी बाजारों को सुनिश्चित करना और देश भर में सतत ऊर्जा बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास को बढ़ावा देना है।
