Selection Process
Written Examination
The recruitment process features an offline OMR-based objective test split into two segments. Part A serves as a mandatory qualifying Punjabi language test requiring a minimum score of 50 percent, while Part B forms the core assessment for merit preparation.
Merit List Generation
Final shortlisting and merit ranking are computed entirely on the marks secured in Part B of the main examination. Part A functions strictly as a qualifying hurdle and its scores are excluded from final merit calculations.
Document Verification
Candidates clearing the written test are invited for a comprehensive counselling session and certificate verification round. Original testimonials concerning age, educational qualifications, and category status must be presented for validation.
Exam Pattern
The examination is conducted offline via OMR sheets. Part A comprises 50 questions for 50 marks with no negative marking, lasting 30 minutes. Part B comprises 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours, carrying a negative marking penalty of 1/4th mark for each incorrect response.
Application Fee
General category candidates are required to pay Rs. 1,000. SC, BC, and EWS category applicants pay Rs. 250. Ex-Servicemen and their dependents are charged Rs. 200, whereas Physically Handicapped candidates must remit an application fee of Rs. 500 through online payment gateways.
