Selection Process

The selection process begins with a Computer Based Test (CBT) for all candidates, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions covering General Intelligence, Awareness, Aptitude, and trade-specific or English language subjects. The test duration is 120 minutes. For Fire Engine Driver and Civilian Motor Transport Driver roles, candidates who qualify in the CBT are shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio for an Endurance and/or Skill Test. These practical tests are qualifying in nature. Final merit is determined by CBT performance, provided the candidate passes the practical assessments.

Exam Pattern

The CBT is bilingual (Hindi/English) and lasts 120 minutes. For Construction Assistant/Handler, the pattern includes 20 questions each in General Intelligence, Awareness, and Aptitude, plus 40 questions on Trade Syllabus. For Drivers, it includes 25 questions each in General Intelligence, Awareness, Aptitude, and General English. Minimum qualifying marks are 35% for UR, 30% for OBC, and 25% for other categories.
