UP Junior High School Teacher Eligibility Criteria

- Assistant Teacher: Graduation from a recognized university and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C/D.El.Ed) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. Additionally, passing UPTET or CTET (Paper-II) is mandatory.
- Headmaster: Graduation and relevant teaching qualification with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a recognized primary or junior high school.
Candidates must meet the following age criteria as per the official recruitment rules:
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
The selection process is rigorous and comprises the following phases:
- Written Examination: An objective-type test consisting of two papers for Headmasters and one integrated test for Assistant Teachers.
- Merit List Calculation: Final selection is based on a composite score including the written exam marks and academic weightage (High School, Intermediate, Graduation, and Teacher Training).
- Document Verification: Verification of original certificates and testimonials.
