TNSET Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree for General candidates.
- 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates.
- Candidates currently in the final year of their Master’s degree are also eligible to apply provisionally.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the TNSET examination.
The selection is based on the performance in a single-stage examination consisting of two papers. Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in both papers are declared qualified based on a merit list prepared by the conducting body.
Since there is no upper age limit, age relaxation criteria are not applicable for this examination.
