SUPER TET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

To be eligible for the various teaching positions, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• For Assistant Teacher: Candidates are required to hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. The degree must be in a discipline relevant to the subject they intend to teach.
• For Principal: In addition to the requirement of holding a graduation degree, candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution.

These criteria are the baseline standards established by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board. Candidates should ensure they have the necessary degree certificates and service records readily available for verification during the document scrutiny process, which typically follows the announcement of the exam results.

The expected age criteria for candidates applying for the recruitment exam are set within a specific range to ensure a balanced workforce. The minimum age limit is 21 years, while the maximum age limit is established at 40 years. These age limits are calculated as of the date specified in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fall within this age bracket on the required reference date, as applications from candidates outside these limits may not be considered by the recruitment board.

The selection process for the teaching positions is structured to ensure that only the most qualified candidates are appointed. The process involves a written examination designed to evaluate both the candidate's general knowledge and their proficiency in their specific subject area. For the Assistant Teacher post, the exam consists of two papers: a general paper covering knowledge of various domains and a specialized subject paper.
