The selection process for the MH SET 2026 is based entirely on the candidate's performance in the written examination. There is no interview stage for the eligibility determination itself. The written assessment consists of two objective-type papers:
- Paper I: This is a general paper designed to assess the teaching aptitude, comprehension, reasoning, and general awareness of the candidate.
- Paper II: This paper focuses exclusively on the subject chosen by the candidate from the 32 available options.
Candidates must attempt all questions, and they are awarded 2 marks for every correct answer. There is no negative marking, which necessitates a strategic approach to attempting all 150 questions to maximize the final score.
As per the official notification provided by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, there is no specified upper age limit for the MH SET examination. Consequently, there are no age relaxation criteria applicable to any specific category, as all eligible applicants, regardless of their age, are treated equally in terms of age-based qualification.
