MGU Assistant Professor Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must satisfy the following academic requirements:

• Master's Degree: Minimum 55% marks in the concerned/relevant subject from an Indian University.
• NET/SET: Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) is mandatory.
• Ph.D.: Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from the NET requirement.

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, and the maximum age follows the Kerala State Government and UGC guidelines for university faculty recruitment.

1. Screening of applications based on academic API score.
2. Shortlisting of candidates for the interview process.
3. Subject-specific Interview and Teaching Demonstration.
4. Final selection based on consolidated merit list.
5. Document Verification and Medical Fitness Test.
