JKPSC Assistant Professor – Jammu & Kashmir Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from an Indian University. Additionally, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years for General Category candidates as of the first day of January of the recruitment year.
- Shortlisting of candidates based on academic merit and research publications.
- Document Verification of original certificates.
- Interview/Viva-Voce conducted by the JKPSC Board.
- Final Selection List based on aggregate scores.
- SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB: Up to 43 years
- PHC Candidates: Up to 42 years
- In-service Candidates: Up to 45 years
