Note: All candidates must be able to read and write the Odia language and must have passed the OSSTET exam in the relevant category.
The age limit criteria are defined to ensure a suitable age bracket for new recruits entering the state secondary school system. As per the established criteria for the recruitment cycle, the applicant must be at least 21 years of age and not exceed 32 years of age. This age limit is calculated as of a specific reference date provided in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fall strictly within this age range to be eligible for consideration. The selection process for DSE Odisha TGT is conducted through a Computer Based Competitive Examination (CBT). Candidates must qualify for both Paper I and Paper II. For Paper I, the minimum qualifying mark is 25% for general candidates and 20% for SC/ST/PWD categories. For Paper II, the requirement is 35% for general candidates and 30% for SC/ST/PWD categories. After the written examination, successful candidates are shortlisted based on their performance for document verification. Final selection is subject to the verification of all academic and personal records, ensuring the candidate meets all eligibility requirements, including the mandatory OSSTET qualification.
- SC/ST/SEBC/Women: A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to the upper age limit for these categories.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): A relaxation of 10 years is provided to the upper age limit.
