Bihar D.El.Ed (Combined) Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria
Updated 2026To be eligible for the Bihar DElEd 2025 admission, candidates must meet the minimum educational requirements established by the Bihar School Examination Board. Applicants are required to have successfully passed the Class 12th (Senior Secondary) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational board. No specific stream (Science, Arts, or Commerce) is strictly mandated for general eligibility, but candidates must possess the equivalent certificate to be considered during the document verification stage of the admission process.
For the Bihar DElEd 2025 entrance, the age limit is set to ensure that only eligible candidates proceed with their professional training. As per the official notification, candidates must be at least 17 years old as of January 1, 2025. Importantly, there is no specified upper age limit for candidates applying for this program, making it accessible to a wider range of individuals seeking to enter the teaching profession.
The selection process for the Bihar DElEd 2025 is a two-staged procedure designed to assess the academic readiness and authenticity of the candidates:
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is an objective-type exam consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 120 marks. Candidates are allotted 150 minutes to complete the test. Only candidates who secure qualifying marks (35% for Unreserved and 30% for SC/ST/OBC) are considered for the next stage.
- Stage 2: Document Verification (DV): Candidates who qualify in the CBT must appear for the document verification round. During this stage, original certificates—including Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, character certificates, migration certificates, and caste certificates—are examined to confirm their eligibility for admission into the diploma program.
