SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Updated 2026Educational qualification is a primary criterion for eligibility in this recruitment drive. Candidates must possess a Bachelorβs Degree in any discipline from a recognized University, Institution, or Board. This requirement ensures that applicants have the foundational knowledge necessary for the administrative tasks involved in the Junior Assistant and Junior Clerk roles. In addition to the academic degree, candidates must demonstrate basic proficiency in computer operations. The possession of a valid computer certificate is mandatory to confirm the candidate's capability to handle digital tools, which are essential for day-to-day office operations. Candidates are advised to ensure their certificates are issued by recognized institutions before applying, as discrepancies in educational or computer literacy documentation will lead to disqualification.
Candidates aspiring to apply for the SSB Odisha Junior Assistant recruitment must satisfy the age requirements defined by the recruiting board as of 1st January 2026. The minimum age for eligibility is set at 21 years, and the maximum age limit is 42 years. This age bracket is crucial, and candidates should verify their age with valid government-issued documents such as an Aadhar card, birth certificate, or matriculation certificate, as these will be checked during the verification phase. Applicants born before or after the designated dates based on this 21-42 year range will not be eligible for consideration. It is important to note that the age relaxation norms are applicable for specific categories, which modify the upper age limit for eligible candidates belonging to those groups.
