Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. Mandatory: Candidates must have passed Punjabi as a subject at the Matriculation level.
Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age as of the 1st day of January of the recruitment year.

- Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

- Medical Examination
- SC/ST: 5 years
- Backward Classes (BC): 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Deduct service period from actual age
- Widows/Divorced Women: As per state government norms
