GIC Re Chief Medical Referee Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university/institution approved by the Medical Council of India. Registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council is mandatory. Preference is often given to candidates with post-graduate qualifications in Medicine or Surgery or relevant experience in Insurance/Corporate medical departments.

The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years as of the crucial date mentioned in the official notification.

1. Shortlisting of applications based on eligibility criteria.
2. Personal Interview/Interaction.
3. Document Verification.
4. Medical Examination.

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines
