The age limit for candidates applying for the ECGC PO recruitment is defined to ensure a fair selection process. According to the official notification, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age. The critical date for calculating this age is 1st November 2025. This implies that any applicant must have been born not earlier than 2nd November 1995 and not later than 1st November 2004, with both dates being inclusive. These age requirements are set to capture a specific professional demographic, ensuring that the selected Probationary Officers are within the optimal age range for career growth within the institution. Proof of age, such as a birth certificate or class X mark sheet, must be available for verification during the recruitment process.
The selection process for the ECGC PO post is structured into two main tiers to effectively gauge the aptitude and skills of the candidates. The process is designed to be transparent and merit-based.
- Online Written Examination: This is the first and most critical stage of the recruitment. It consists of an Objective Test (MCQs) and a Descriptive Paper. Candidates must qualify in these segments to proceed further. The test assesses reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English language, general awareness, and computer knowledge.
- Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the cut-off scores in the Online Examination are shortlisted for the personal Interview round. This round is conducted to assess the candidate's suitability for the role, their communication skills, and their overall personality, which is crucial for a probationer in a government-owned financial organization.
Final selection is based on the combined performance of the candidates in both the written examination and the interview, followed by document verification to ensure all educational and category claims are valid.
