Candidates must possess a B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Chemistry). A valid GATE/NET score is mandatory for JRF positions unless otherwise exempted by the funding agency guidelines.
The maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellows is generally 28 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and PwD candidates as per DST guidelines.
