Pay matrix levels are determined by the 7th CPC:
- Scientific Assistant/B: Basic Pay Rs. 35,400 (Level 6) + Allowances.
- Stipendiary Trainee: Monthly stipend of Rs. 16,000–24,000 during training, followed by absorption into regular pay scales.
- Allowances: DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance as per Central Government rules.
