Territorial Army (Officer) Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The Territorial Army Officer examination in 2026 is structured as a 120-minute Computer Based Test (CBT). The objective-type paper comprises three main parts, totaling 100 questions with a maximum mark of 100. Each question carries one mark, and candidates are tested on Reasoning, General Knowledge, and English. A significant aspect of this pattern is the negative marking system: 0.33 marks are deducted for every incorrect response. Unanswered or 'marked for review' questions are excluded from the negative marking calculation. The exam is held at a graduate difficulty level.
