ITBP Assistant Surgeon Exam Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized university or institution. Registration with the Veterinary Council of India is mandatory. Physical standards include meeting the minimum height, chest, and vision requirements as per ITBP medical guidelines for Group A Gazetted officers.

The candidate must be between 23 and 30 years of age as of the crucial date mentioned in the official notification.

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
2. Document Verification
3. Written Examination (if applicable)
4. Interview/Personality Test
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
6. Review Medical Examination (RME)

• SC/ST: 5 Years
• OBC (NCL): 3 Years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 Years after deduction of military service
• Government Servants: As per Central Govt rules
