About Organisation
The Technology Development Board (TDB) is a statutory body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Established in 1996, its primary mandate is to promote the development and commercialization of indigenous technology and the adaptation of imported technology for wider application. Headquartered in New Delhi, the board plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between research and industrial application by providing financial assistance to industrial concerns and other agencies for developmental projects.
प्रौद्योगिकी विकास बोर्ड (TDB) भारत सरकार के विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के तहत एक वैधानिक निकाय है। 1996 में स्थापित, इसका प्राथमिक जनादेश स्वदेशी प्रौद्योगिकी के विकास और व्यावसायीकरण तथा व्यापक अनुप्रयोग के लिए आयातित प्रौद्योगिकी के अनुकूलन को बढ़ावा देना है। नई दिल्ली में मुख्यालय, यह बोर्ड विकासात्मक परियोजनाओं के लिए औद्योगिक चिंताओं और अन्य एजेंसियों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करके अनुसंधान और औद्योगिक अनुप्रयोग के बीच की खाई को पाटने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है।
