About Organisation
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is the apex national sports body of India, established in 1984 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Headquartered in New Delhi, its primary mandate is to promote sports excellence, manage sports infrastructure, and implement various schemes to identify and nurture talent across the country. SAI plays a pivotal role in training athletes for international competitions and maintaining world-class sports facilities to support the development of sports culture in India.
