The CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) is a premier research organization under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India. Established in 1966, it is headquartered in Dona Paula, Goa, with regional centers in Kochi, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam.
