Central Seat Allocation Board

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is the governing body responsible for managing the seat allocation process for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Established to streamline the counselling process, it operates under the directives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The board ensures a transparent and merit-based admission system for engineering aspirants across the country. Its primary mandate includes conducting special rounds of counselling to fill vacant seats after the conclusion of the JoSAA process, ensuring optimal utilization of technical education infrastructure.
