The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is the authority responsible for managing the seat allocation process for technical institutions in India, including NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and SPAs. It operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Education to ensure a transparent and merit-based admission process for students who have qualified for the JEE Main examination. The board conducts special rounds of counselling to fill vacant seats after the conclusion of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) process.
