The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is an autonomous body in Assam, India, established to govern the Bodoland Territorial Region. It operates under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India to ensure the socio-economic development and protection of the rights of the Bodo people. The council manages various departments, including the Forest Department, which is responsible for the conservation, management, and protection of forest resources and wildlife within its jurisdiction.
