The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination on 19 July 2026. The selection process for the UPSC CAPF AC 2026 consists of multiple stages. The first stage is the written examination, which includes Paper 1 (General Ability and Intelligence) and Paper 2 (General Studies, Essay and Comprehension). Candidates who qualify in the written exam are then called for the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Those who pass the physical tests proceed to the Medical Standards Test. The final stage is the Interview/Personality Test, where candidates are evaluated on their suitability for the role. The written examination comprises two papers. Paper 1 is an objective-type test consisting of 125 questions, each carrying 2 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. Paper 2 is a descriptive-type test worth 200 marks, with a duration of 3 hours, covering General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension.
