Age Limit (Detail)

As per standard SSC Junior Engineer recruitment rules, age relaxation is provided for reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Junior Engineer posts consists of multiple rigorous stages. Initially, candidates must qualify in the Paper-I written examination, which tests core technical knowledge and general aptitude. Those who clear the first stage are eligible for the Paper-II written examination. Following the written tests, the commission conducts document verification to ensure all educational and category claims are valid. Finally, a medical examination is performed to confirm the physical fitness of the candidates for the designated roles.

Exam Pattern

The examination was conducted in two tiers. Paper-I consisted of objective-type questions covering General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness, and the specific engineering discipline. Paper-II was a descriptive or objective technical paper focusing on the candidate's core engineering branch. Negative marking was applicable for incorrect answers in the objective sections.

Application Fee

The application fee was as per the standard SSC notification guidelines. General and OBC candidates were required to pay the prescribed fee, while SC, ST, PWD, and female candidates were exempted from the fee payment.
