Selection Process

The selection process for the 2026 cycle involves a multi-stage examination including Tier-I and Tier-II. Tier-I now incorporates a strict sectional timing system where candidates have fifteen minutes for each of the four sections. Tier-II also features subject-wise timing to ensure a balanced assessment of candidate skills. Candidates must qualify in each stage to proceed to the final merit list. The commission has also introduced a new sliding mechanism and First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) to manage post preferences effectively.

Exam Pattern

The examination pattern has been updated to include sectional timers in Tier-I and subject-wise timing in Tier-II. Tier-II Section-I is now structured as a one-hour paper with thirty minutes each for mathematics and reasoning. Tier-II Section-II consists of one hour, divided into forty minutes for English and twenty minutes for General Awareness.

Application Fee

The application correction fee is Rs. 200 for the first modification and Rs. 500 for the second modification. The fee for challenging the tentative answer key is Rs. 50 per question.
