Selection Process
Tier 1 Examination
The first stage involves a computer-based objective test consisting of four sections including General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each correct answer carries two marks while incorrect responses attract a penalty of 0.50 marks.
Answer Key and Objections
Following the conclusion of the test, the commission releases a provisional answer key along with individual response sheets. Candidates are permitted to raise objections online against tentative answers by submitting supporting evidence and paying the prescribed fee.
Final Results and Normalization
Based on valid objections, a final answer key is prepared. Since shifts vary in difficulty, the commission applies a standardized normalization formula to compute final scores for shortlisting candidates to subsequent tiers.
