Selection Process
The selection process for the SBI Clerk recruitment involves three distinct stages. Initially, candidates must qualify in the Preliminary Examination, which tests basic aptitude. Those who clear the prelims proceed to the Mains Examination, which is the primary stage for merit calculation. Finally, a Local Language Test is conducted for candidates who have not studied the local language in their 10th or 12th standard. The waiting list is prepared based on the performance in the Mains examination for candidates who missed the final cut-off.
Exam Pattern
The Mains examination consists of four sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. Each section has a specific time limit and carries a weightage of marks. There is a negative marking of 1/4th of the marks assigned to a question for every incorrect answer provided by the candidate.
