The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the provisional answer key for the Ministerial and Isolated Categories examination conducted under CEN 08/2025. This release allows candidates who appeared for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) on 14 and 15 July 2026 to verify their performance against the official response sheet. The publication of this key is a critical step in the recruitment process, enabling transparency and providing a window for candidates to challenge any discrepancies they identify.

Key Responsibilities

  • Candidates must cross-verify their marked responses with the official answer key provided by the RRB.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to identify any potential errors in the provisional key.
  • Applicants should gather authentic supporting evidence, such as textbook references, to substantiate any claims made during the objection process.
  • Candidates are required to submit their challenges through the official portal within the stipulated timeframe.
  • It is necessary to pay the prescribed fee for each question challenged to ensure the objection is processed.
  • Candidates should monitor the official regional RRB websites for updates regarding the final answer key and subsequent result declarations.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Ministerial and Isolated Categories involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT) as the primary stage. The examination consists of 100 questions, each carrying one mark, totaling 100 marks. A negative marking scheme is implemented, where 0.33 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer provided by the candidate. Following the CBT, the provisional answer key is released to allow for objections. Once the objection window closes and valid challenges are reviewed, a final answer key is prepared. The final results are then compiled based on the final answer key, followed by document verification for shortlisted candidates.

Exam Pattern

The CBT exam comprises 100 questions with a total of 100 marks. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, while each incorrect answer incurs a penalty of 0.33 marks. Unattempted questions do not attract any negative marking.

Application Fee

The objection fee is Rs. 50 per question challenged, plus applicable bank service charges. This fee is refundable if the objection is found to be valid by the board. Payment can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking.
