Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Group D consists of multiple stages. First, candidates must qualify in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which evaluates general knowledge, mathematics, and reasoning. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to assess their physical fitness. Finally, those who pass the PET undergo Document Verification (DV) and a comprehensive Medical Examination to ensure they meet the health standards required for railway operations.

Exam Pattern

The PET involves two primary tasks: a weight-carrying test and a running test. Male candidates must carry 35 kg for 100 metres in 2 minutes and run 1 km in 4 minutes 15 seconds. Female candidates must carry 20 kg for 100 metres in 2 minutes and run 1 km in 5 minutes 40 seconds. PwBD candidates are exempted from these physical tests.
