Selection Process
The selection process for RRB Group D involves a multi-stage approach. First, candidates must qualify in the Computer Based Test (CBT), which assesses general knowledge, mathematics, and reasoning. Those who meet the cut off are then invited to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which evaluates physical stamina through tasks like weight carrying and running. Finally, candidates undergo Document Verification (DV) and a comprehensive Medical Examination to ensure they meet the health standards required for the specific railway duties.
Exam Pattern
The CBT consisted of objective-type questions covering General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. A negative marking scheme was applied, where 1/3rd of a mark was deducted for every incorrect answer. Normalization was utilized to adjust for difficulty variations across different exam shifts.
