Selection Process
The selection process for NEET UG 2026 is based on a single-stage national-level entrance examination. Candidates are evaluated through a pen-and-paper test consisting of multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The marking scheme awards four marks for every correct answer and deducts one mark for every incorrect response. Following the exam, the NTA releases a provisional answer key, allowing for objections. After reviewing these challenges, a final answer key is published, and the results are declared based on the final evaluation. Successful candidates are then invited to participate in the All India Quota and State Quota counseling processes for medical and dental seat allocation.
Exam Pattern
