Selection Process

The selection process for the CA Intermediate course involves passing a series of rigorous written examinations. The exam is divided into two groups, each consisting of three papers. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all papers of a group to be declared pass. If a candidate appears for both groups simultaneously, the aggregate is calculated based on the total marks of all six papers. The evaluation is conducted by the ICAI, and there is no interview stage for this level of the qualification.

Exam Pattern

The CA Intermediate exam consists of six papers in total, split into two groups. Group I includes Advanced Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, and Taxation. Group II includes Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing and Ethics, and Financial Management and Strategic Management. Each paper is of 100 marks with a 3-hour duration. Candidates are provided with 15 minutes of reading time before the commencement of the exam at 2:00 PM.
