The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Haryana Civil Service (HCS) Mains Examination 2026. This crucial document is now accessible to all candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary screening stage. The commission has scheduled the main examination to be held over three days, specifically on June 27, 28, and 29, 2026, at various designated centers across the state of Haryana. Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets well in advance to avoid any technical issues on the official portal. The admit card serves as the primary entry pass for the examination hall, and candidates must ensure all details printed on it are accurate and legible. It is mandatory to carry a physical copy of the hall ticket along with a valid government-issued photo identity proof to the examination center. Failure to produce these documents will result in denial of entry to the examination hall. The selection process for the Haryana Civil Services is a rigorous three-stage procedure. The first stage is the Preliminary Examination, which acts as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the next phase. The second stage is the Main Written Examination, which is a descriptive test evaluating the candidate's analytical and subject-specific knowledge. Finally, the Personality Test or Interview is conducted to assess the candidate's communication skills, general awareness, and overall suitability for administrative roles. The HCS Mains examination consists of four descriptive papers. Paper-I covers English and English Essay (100 marks), Paper-II covers Hindi and Hindi Essay (100 marks), Paper-III is General Studies (200 marks), and Paper-IV is an Optional Subject (200 marks). Each paper is allotted a duration of 3 hours, totaling 600 marks for the entire Mains examination.
