The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Haryana Civil Service (HCS) Mains Examination 2026. This crucial document is now accessible to all candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary screening stage. The commission has scheduled the main written examination to take place over three days, specifically on June 27, 28, and 29, 2026. Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets well in advance to avoid any technical issues on the official portal. The admit card serves as the primary entry document for the examination hall, containing vital details such as the candidate's roll number, assigned exam centre, and specific reporting instructions. It is mandatory for all aspirants to carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo identity proof to the designated test centre. Failure to produce these documents will result in denial of entry to the examination premises. Candidates should verify all personal information printed on the card immediately upon downloading.

The selection process for the Haryana Civil Services is a rigorous three-tier system. First, candidates undergo a Preliminary Examination, which acts as a screening test to shortlist aspirants for the next stage. Second, the Main Written Examination is conducted, which is a descriptive test evaluating the candidate's analytical and subject-specific knowledge. Finally, those who qualify the written stage are invited for a Personality Test or Interview. The final merit list is prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Main Examination and the Interview process.

The HCS Mains examination consists of four descriptive papers, each carrying a duration of three hours. Paper-I focuses on English, including essay writing, while Paper-II covers Hindi, also including essay writing. Paper-III is dedicated to General Studies, and Paper-IV is based on the candidate's chosen optional subject. The total marks for the entire Mains examination are 600, requiring a comprehensive understanding of both language proficiency and core subject knowledge.
