Candidates are strictly required to present this document along with a valid government-issued photo identification card to gain entry into the examination hall. The release of these admit cards marks a significant step in the recruitment process, allowing applicants to finalize their travel and preparation plans for the upcoming Computer Based Test (CBT).

Age Limit (Detail)

Maximum 35 years as on the closing date. Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Scientist 'C' position is conducted in two distinct stages. The first stage is a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions, covering both General Aptitude and scientific subjects. Candidates who qualify in the CBT are then shortlisted for the second stage, which is a Personal Interview. The final merit list is prepared by combining the scores obtained in both the CBT and the interview. A negative marking of 0.5 marks is applicable for every incorrect answer in the CBT.

Exam Pattern

The CBT consists of 200 objective-type MCQs (100 General Aptitude + 100 Scientific/subject-related) for a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes (2 hours). There is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.
